Spring time 2025:
Spring is in the air and blossom is returning to many trees.
Using acrylic paint, songs, brushes and fingers, this painting shows the colour in nature as spring appears in trees.
The steps to making the Spring scene:
Step 1:
Sponge the background with green acrylic paint.
Cover all over by dabbing.
Step 2:
Mix yellow acrylic with the green to cover the background.
Step 3:
Mix orange with white to make a pale buff colour, and brush several lines across the paper to make branches.
Step 4:
Stipple or dabb with a brush or finger paint with pink over selected parts of the paper over the branches
Step 5:
Use purple to dab onto paper using brush or finger.
Step 6:
Fill in much of scene but leaving some gaps.
Step 7:
Make a butterfly from colour card:
Fold the colour card and cut the folded side. Unfold and cut round shapes of various colours to place onto the butterfly and paste them on. Overlap some colours.
Add glitter for shine.
